History
 
The former village name Ghoshghotan was changed to Voskevan in 1976. Yelak subsidiary company of Impulse factory was built in the village however, it does currently not function.
A church and a parochial school were built in 1905 by means of public contributions.

Economic Assessment
 
The area of the community is about 1,935 ha of which 578 are pastures, 293 ha arable lands and 57.5 ha forests. Farmers are engaged in horticulture and animal husbandry. The community has 720 livestock of which 376 are cows, 538 sheep, 249 pigs, 2316 poultry, and 45 beehives.
