| Economic Assessment |
| |
The majority of the village's area consists of arable lands. The rest consist of pastures, orchards and some forest. Land plots are not very large and irrigation is limited (only 40 hectares out of 158 are irrigated) as a result, farming is inefficient. Therefore, the main crops are grain, requiring little irrigation, such as wheat and barley. But these are low-value crops. With irrigation, the same land could be used to grow fruits, especially grapes.
Existing agricultural machinery is old and this adversely affects other aspects of the agricultural process.
There are far fewer animals (131 cows) than there could be, but this can be explained by a decade of poor nutrition.
The inaccessibility of Lusadzor is an economic impediment.
