Rural Development
Program
Koti: Tavush

History

The village of Koti has existed since ancient times. Its former names include Kot, Koti and Kotigegh.
A statue pertaining to the civilization of Urartu was found within the orchard of a villager in 1970. This statue of historic value is preserved at the museum of Sardarapat.
Because Koti is a border state village, not only homes were destroyed during the war, but also many other public buildings as well.
