History
 
The community was populated since ancient times. The testimonies are the discovered armament, clay plates and etc. The settlement was destroyed by foreign invaders at various times. In 1721 and then in 1723 the village was totally destroyed first by Lezgi people, afterwards by Turks. In 1799-1804 the village was repopulated by Armenians coming from Jraberd and Gyulistan regions of Karabagh.
