History

Dovegh is located on the northeast boundary of the Tavush Marz. It shares a 15 km long border with Azerbaijan on the eastern side.
The village is an ancient one and has an old history. Preserved gravestones and khachkars testify to its antiquity. In its present location the village has been settled for more than 450 years. It has two churches, which sustained damages at the end of the 19th century.
