History
 
Previously it was also named Leshkin, Lejkin, Lijqk, Lij, Shshkert. The village was included in the province of Zangezour of Yelizavetapol state. According to the tax lists the village used to pay taxes to the monastery of Tatev. In the surroundings of the village there are a number of antiquities: the 17th. c. bridge of the Meghri River, 17th c. Jvaravan Church. Lichks neighboring villages are Zvar, Taghamir, and Moulk villages. Incorrectly, Ghevond Alishan Lijk and Leshkin are considered as separate regions.
