Program
Kornidzor: Syunik

History

Kornidzor is one of the ancient settlements of Armenia. A place called Khorea-Khorov is situated not far from the village. Movses Khorenatsi is considered to be from Syunik. The academician S.Malkhasyan writes, It is more likely to think that he was born in a small village called Khorea in the province Haband of Syunik that mentions S.Orbelyan at the end of the XIII century. This name passed to Kornidzor. S.Khanzadyan writes in Hayrenapatum that, according to the residents tales, the Historian is buried in the church of Sri. It is a very old, small chapel, on a high cliff, with ancient tombs nearby.

This is the regular train that serves the needs of the people of Armenia's Shirak region. It has not been replaced for more than forty years and still bears the (now rusty)symbols of the Soviet Empire. Convenience and comfort are two things one will not find here.
