History
 
Khot is one of the oldest settlements in Syunik Marz. It is located on the left side of the Vorotan River. Formerly, Khot had been located on a very inclined slope rounded with orchards and unavailable rocks. In 1205, prince Dlen gave the village to Tatev Monastery. Mrgadzori Khach and Khot Monasteries lie near the village. Tombs dating to the 2nd and 1st millenniums B.C. along with the ruins of Karmir Church (XII c.) are spread nearby. IFAD under Agricultural Services Project implemented rehabilitation of on-farm irrigation network.
