History
 
The settlers of Aygedzor, Azatashen and Dzorashen villages established Hartashen in 1965-1970. Those villages were first known as Maghanjaz, Alighulishen and Kyoru. There are khachkar tombs and ruins of churches testifying their antiquity (X-XVII.). The name Hartashen means built on a plane place.
