History
 
Aravus is located on a mountain slope, in the region of Goris near the Tegh village. It is situated on the left side of the Goris-Stepanakert highway.
In the 18th century the ancestors of Aravus residents moved to present-day Aravus from Karabaghs Aravus (Karaglukh) village.
In the village collective farming was created in 1933 and abolished in 1991. Formerly Aravus was included in the oil council of Tegh village, but was separated in 1991.
