Economic Assessment

The main sources of employment are farming and animal husbandry.
Sizavet has 828 hectares of pastures, 626 hectares of grasslands, and 850 hectares of non-irrigated arable land; 3624 heads of cattle, 1800 domesticated birds, 40 beehives.
Main products are meat (10-15 tons annually) and milk (500-550 tons annually). The milk is processed at Ashtarak Milk dairy conglomerate, the remaining products are sold at the market. The village does not have a processing facility.
The village has 87 different kinds of tractors, 11 trucks, 6 ploughs, 2 harvesting combines.

Setting-up a sub-regional milk processing company in one of the neighboring communities (e.g. Bavra) would boost the production of various dairy products including cow and sheep cheese.

This is the regular train that serves the needs of the people of Armenia's Shirak region. It has not been replaced for more than forty years and still bears the (now rusty)symbols of the Soviet Empire. Convenience and comfort are two things one will not find here.
