| Economic Assessment |
| |
The main sources of employment are farming and animal husbandry. Sizavet has 828 hectares of pastures, 626 hectares of grasslands, and 850 hectares of non-irrigated arable land; 3624 heads of cattle, 1800 domesticated birds, 40 beehives. Main products are meat (10-15 tons annually) and milk (500-550 tons annually). The milk is processed at Ashtarak Milk dairy conglomerate, the remaining products are sold at the market. The village does not have a processing facility. The village has 87 different kinds of tractors, 11 trucks, 6 ploughs, 2 harvesting combines.
Setting-up a sub-regional milk processing company in one of the neighboring communities (e.g. Bavra) would boost the production of various dairy products including cow and sheep cheese. |
