Economic Assessment

Most of the population is engaged in animal husbandry (around 1600 heads of cattle and 1600 domesticated birds), where average annual production is 70-80 tons of milk, 30-40 tons of meat, 10-15 tons of wool.
The community has 212 hectares of pastures and 781 hectares of arable land, and 258 hectares of grassland.
Most of the milk is processed at the Ashtarak Milk dairy conglomerate and Igit dairy factories, but access to market is not sufficient for appropriate and value-added production.
The community owns over 30 tractors of various kinds. All machinery is old and needs to be replaced.
