| Shenik is located in the region of Baghramyan, near Karakert. It was founded in 1971. It was renamed Shenik in 1978. In 1995 the community was included in Armavir marz. |

| The main occupation of the population is cultivation of fodder crop and grain, horticulture, fruit growing. The community has an eight year school, a cultural center, a library, a kindergarten, a cinema, an aid post, and a trade center. |
