Shenik is located in the region of Baghramyan, near Karakert. It was founded in 1971. It was renamed Shenik in 1978. In 1995 the community was included in Armavir marz.

Economic Assessment
 
The main occupation of the population is cultivation of fodder crop and grain, horticulture, fruit growing. The community has an eight year school, a cultural center, a library, a kindergarten, a cinema, an aid post, and a trade center.
