Vardashat is located on the right side of the upper stream of the Aratsoget River. The main part of population's ancestors moved here from Khoy and Salmast provinces of Iran during 1828-29. The population is engaged in animal husbandry, gardening and farming. The Vardashat community has a school, community center and a health care point.
