The Hundredth Greenhouse was Unveiled in Ditavan Village
In Ditavan village, Tavush region, even the kids pronounce the surname Ekserciyan well. Since 2007 Argentinean-Armenian benefactors Armen and Natia Ekserciyan have generously funded the building of Ditavan’s local school and community center, also the new water supply system was established. And the 100th greenhouse, all built in Tavush region by financial support of Devecyan, Ekserciyan, Simsiroglu families of Argentina and Hayastan All Armenian Fund, was unveiled in the same Ditavan village.

On July 12, the benefactors of Argentina and the representatives of Hayastan All-Armenian Fund visited Ditavan to announce an opening of the 100th greenhouse in Tavush region. With support from Argentinean-Armenian donors, Hayastan All-Armenian Fund has launched the greenhouse program in 11 communities of Armenia’s Tavush Region. Metal framed greenhouses, each measuring 100 square meters and covered with high-quality polycarbonate and polyethylene, were built for 100 farming families in the villages of Voskevan, Artsvaberd, Koti, Nerkin Tsaghkavan, Berdavan, Aygehovit, Koghb, Zorakan, Ditavan, Kirants and Khachardzan. Each greenhouse costs US $5,500 equivalent AMD, of which 200,000 AMD is covered by the beneficiary. As part of the project, the beneficiary families also received seedlings and were provided with technical consultation at the initial phase of the greenhouse growing.

The 100th greenhouse was presented to a family of five. Marine Mesropyan from the family thanked the benefactors, telling that the greenhouse will provide her family with a stable source of income. Argentinean-Armenian benefactor Boghos Eksercyan in his greeting speech told that all Argentinean-Armenian community has made major donations to implement the project of the greenhouses.
