All 50 Schools in Vayots Dzor Region Will Have Computer Classrooms
Thanks to the assistance of the Indian government, computer classrooms have been established in all 50 secondary schools of the Vayots Dzor Region, The classrooms, provided with all necessary furniture and equipped with new computers and printers, are linked to the Internet. The large-scale educational project was made possible as a result of the cooperation of Indian and Armenian governments and the Hayastan All-Armenian Fund. Since 2009, the government of India has provided financial and technical support to schools in different regions of Armenia to improve education environment for students.

On June 22, a press conference was held on Vayots Dzor region project and the Armenian-Indian cooperation. The Ambassador of India to Armenia Yogeshvar Sangvan, Minister of Education of Armenia Levon Mkrtchyan and the Executive Director of Hayastan All-Armenian Fund Ara Vardanyan presented the results of the project and stressed the importance of the cooperation between the Governments of India and Armenia and Hayastan All-Armenian Fund. The first collaboration program was launched in 2009, as a result of which the school of Artsni village in Lori Region has been extensively renovated. The second joint project, implemented in 2012, resulted in the establishment of computer classrooms at all 72 schools of the Tavush Region.

The completion of the third joint program was announced at the press conference. The latest project benefited a total of 7,000 students, enabling them to use the latest computers and have access to Internet from the beginning of the new academic year.
