German-Armenian community supports families of April-war victimsThe Hayastan All-Armenian Fund has distributed the equivalent of 2 million AMD, donated by benefactors of its German affiliate, to the families of ten Artsakh residents who were killed in the four-day April war.
Gilbert Momdjian, the chairman of the Hayastan All-Armenian Fund’s German affiliate, said that Germany’s Armenian community was devastated by the April events and at once turned its attention to helping provide emergency financial assistance to at least families of those in Artsakh who were killed during the war.
The Hayastan All-Armenian Fund’s German affiliate continues to sponsor other social-assistance projects in the homeland. With German-Armenian support, the fund provided two homeless Gyumri families with fully furnished apartments in newly built residential block in 2015, and soon will provide two additional families with such homes.
