ACBA-Credit Agricole Bank makes surprise gifts to Mary Izmirlian Children’s Home
Contributions presented through “Barerar” Visa programAs an initiative of the “Barerar” Visa-card program, a partnership between the Hayastan All-Armenian Fund and ACBA-Credit Agricole Bank, the bank made surprise gifts to Yerevan’s Mary Izmirlian Children’s Home on June 1, in celebration of International Children’s Day.
The gifts were the result of monetary donations made by employees of ACBA-Credit Agricole and subsequently doubled by the bank’s management. The total collected amount will enable some 22 kids from the Mary Izmirlian Children’s Home to spend part of their summer holiday at the Aragats Camp in Hankavan. The contributions will also make it possible for ten children with various ailments to receive medical examinations at some of Yerevan’s top clinics.
In addition, ACBA-Credit Agricole has donated a vitally needed rehabilitation treadmill to the Mary Izmirlian Children’s Home. The treadmill will allow therapists to train children with limited mobility, helping significantly improve their condition.
The “Barerar” Visa-card program, Armenia’s first-ever public-benefit credit-card initiative, is aimed at supporting orphanages throughout the republic. A portion of all card purchases as well as 50% of the card’s service fee are donated by ACBA-Credit Agricole to the Hayastan All-Armenian Fund in support of projects for children’s homes. Today there are more than 6,000 “Barerar” card-holders.download Western Armenian version
