The HayastanAll-Armenian Fund implements a number of projects in the spheres of road construction, housing as well as school and health care institutions construction in the Republic of Nagorno-Karabakh.
The most significant project implemented currently is the construction of North-South highway. The construction of Kichan-Drmbon 5.2 km long section, started in March, is under way and it will be over in January 2005. It is in the stage of groundworks now. The construction of Vank Crossroad-Kichan 5.1 km long section is also in the process. It was started in March 2004 and will be completed in the beginning of the next year according to the schedule. The groundworks are over now and the construction of the cover basement is being carried out in this section.
The Sarushen-Karmir Shuka and Stepanakert-Sarushen sections are in the stage of asphalting and they will be put into operation in Autumn 2004. The construction was initiated in 2003 through the USA, East Coast local committees financial means. Presently, construction of another section of the highway in 11.2 km length-Tsakuri-Hadrut is in the progress. Being started in 2003, it is scheduled to be finished in Autumn 2005.
The project of residential buildings construction in Vaghuhas and Haterk villages of NKR is coming to its end. There are 28 houses built in Vaghuhas and 21 in Haterk by this project.
The construction of polyclinic in Stepanakert, financed by the benefactor George Baghumian (USA East Coast), is planned to be completed in coming November. The project was initiated in March 2003 and it costs 677000 USD. The polyclinic will be named after the benefactors aunt Armine Baghumyan.
Another project, being presently implemented in NKR by the Hayastan Fund, is the construction of Shosh village school, which will receive pupils at the coming school-year. The construction has become possible through the Toronto local committees donation.
The village Drmbon in NKR will also have a new school in September due to the donation of the Funds France local committee.
